The Mississippi Deepwater Horizon Resource
is a research driven
page dedicated to being your one stop for a collaborated page of
information on the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. You will not only find
information from the official site of the Deepwater Horizon Unified
Command page, but also from the many other credible sources that are
supporting this disaster. We are located on the Mississippi Gulf
Coast and will be bringing you updates from right here on the front
lines of the spill.
There will be new information updated
as it comes available. If you know of a resource that is out there,
email it to us at
info@msgulfspill.com.
NEW! OIL SPILL CAPPED! NEW!
The Gulf Oil Spill has been happening since past 87
days and millions of gallons of oil has been leaked into the ocean damaging water and natural
surroundings in several states in US. However, the spill has now been
finally stopped, at-least temporarily with no oil gushing out of the
well.
GeoPlatform.gov/gulfresponse is a new online tool that provides you
with near-real time information about the response effort. Developed
by NOAA with the EPA, U.S. Coast Guard, and the Department of Interior.
The site integrates the latest data the federal responders
have about the oil spill’s trajectory with fishery area closures,
wildlife data and place-based Gulf Coast resources — such as pinpointed
locations of oiled shoreline and current positions of deployed
research ships — into one customizable interactive map.
"Save the Gulf of Mexico" on Facebook was created as a joint effort between al.com, gulflive.com and nola.com and those sites' partner newspapers: The (Pascagoula) Mississippi Press, The (Mobile) Press-Register, The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune, The Birmingham News and The Huntsville Times.
We aim to bring our Facebook fans up-to-the-minute news on the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Coast oil spill and provide information on volunteer efforts as citizens and businesses join together to save the Gulf Coast from environmental damage. Here is the feed from Facebook! You will be able to find this feed among many others in our News section
